Animal External Characteristics

We have been learning about the 5 different classifications of animals and learning about each groups unique external characteristics.  We did some writing and technical drawings to show our learning about mammals.

Gardening

We planted carrot seeds in the Winkley garden today!  We learned about the needs of a plant used our new knowledge to help ensure our plants will grow.  We can't wait for our carrots to sprout!

Easter Bunny Money Hunt

We practiced counting money on an Easter egg hunt!  It was super fun finding all the hidden eggs in our classroom.

Google Expeditions

Google came to our school to let us pilot a new app they have developed!  We were able to learn about landforms through augmented reality.  Using phones and selfie sticks we were able to see 3D versions of landforms.  Ask your child about their cool experience today!

Wind Races

We are learning about air and wind.  We experimented with how to make air move to get an object to the finish line.
