111th Day of 1st Grade

On Monday we celebrated the 111th day of 1st grade!  We are 111 days smarter, kinder, cooler, you name it and we are it.  We practiced counting our Hundred and Eleven Hullabaloo Stew snack mix.  Check out our different ways of counting.

Worm Wranglers

We have been exploring worms to add to our terrariums!  We had a few squeamish friends but I was able to get everyone to hold a worm and get over their fears.  Check out our worm wrangling fun!

Come Visit Leander!

We have been learning about our community for the past 9 weeks through an integrated science and social studies unit.  Your child has learned about maps, natural resources, weather, soil, and space.  Their culminating project was to tell someone about our community and invite them to come for a visit.  Here are some of our persuasive projects.
