111th Day of 1st Grade

On Monday we celebrated the 111th day of 1st grade!  We are 111 days smarter, kinder, cooler, you name it and we are it.  We practiced counting our Hundred and Eleven Hullabaloo Stew snack mix.  Check out our different ways of counting.

Science Fair Experiment

We have busy with our science fair experiment about the transfer of energy. Ask your child about the experiment!

We have been learning about our community for the past 9 weeks through an integrated science and social studies unit.  Your child has learned about maps, natural resources, weather, soil, and space.  Their culminating project was to tell someone about our community and invite them to come for a visit.  Here are some of our persuasive projects.

We had a visitor come and check on us today.  He left us a note a present.  We also got some answers to questions that we sent off to the North Pole.
